PREVIEW | Women’s Indoor Track & Field @ NJAC Championships (Day One)

Montclair, NJ – The Montclair State University Women's Indoor Track & Field team is geared up as they enter day one of the NJAC Championships on Saturday afternoon.

LAST TIME OUT

Montclair wrapped up the regular season at the NYU Division III Invitational this past Saturday. Alby notched a time of 25.67 seconds in the 200m to take the event, breaking her own school record. Her time ranks 82nd in Division III this season. She also recorded a 60m time of 7.85 seconds, which ranks 70th across Division III and is a new season-best. Churchill broke a 36-year-old school record in the 3000m, clocking in at 10:24.90, marking the second Red Hawk of the day to go into the record books. MAILE O'NEILL placed second in the 60m with a time of 7.80 seconds, a mark that now ranks second in program history. Her time of 26.21 seconds in the 200m sits sixth among the records for Montclair. In the high jump, MICEL MARTINEZ placed third with a mark of 1.60m, ranking 70th in Division III. Her performance now ranks third in program history in the event, setting a new career-best. CHLOE BRIJBAG notched a mark of 11.16m in the shot put to place 11th and now sits eighth in program history. ODALYS GUERRERO-DOMINGUEZ recorded a top ten finish in the 400m with a personal-best time of 1:00.90.

Top mark in the NJAC this season: TCNJ's Allison Lavin; 13.65m (44' 9.5") at the Widener Indoor Classic on February 13.

 

 

Long Jump

 

Best Performance at last year's NJAC Championships: KAELYN RODRIGUEZ; fifth place with a mark of 5.00m (16' 5")

 

Winner of the event last championship: New Jersey City's Tonna Ogina with a mark of 5.25m (17' 2.75")

 

Top mark for Montclair this season: KAELYN RODRIGUEZ; 5.02m (21' 8") at the Fastrack Invitational on February 7.

 

Top mark in the NJAC this season: Stockton's Elaina Styer; 5.50m (18' 0.5") at the Fastrack Season Opener on December 5.

Best Performance at last year's NJAC Championships: DENISSE AGUILAR; Eighth place with a time of 19:18.75

 

Winner of the event last championship: Rowan's Gabrielle Pagano with a time of 18:23.57
