Alby, Churchill Break School Records for Women's Track & Field at NYU DIII Invitational

New York, NY – MCKAY ALBY and ABIGAIL CHURCHILL broke school records as the Montclair State University Women's Track & Field team competed at the NYU DIII Invitational on Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Alby notched a time of 25.67 seconds in the 200m to take the event, breaking her own school record. Her time ranks 82nd in Division III this season. She also recorded a 60m time of 7.85 seconds, which ranks 70th across Division III and is a new season-best.
Churchill broke a 36-year-old school record in the 3000m, clocking in at 10:24.90, marking the second Red Hawk of the day to go into the record books.
MAILE O'NEILL placed second in the 60m with a time of 7.80 seconds, a mark that now ranks second in program history. Her time of 26.21 seconds in the 200m sits sixth among the all-time records for Montclair.
In the high jump, MICEL MARTINEZ placed third with a mark of 1.60m, ranking 70th in Division III. Her performance now ranks third in program history in the event, setting a new career-best.
CHLOE BRIJBAG notched a mark of 11.16m in the shot put to place 11th and now sits eighth in program history.
ODALYS GUERRERO-DOMINGUEZ recorded a top ten finish in the 400m with a personal-best time of 1:00.90.

INSIDE THE RESULTS

ALEXA ALI recorded a season-best time of 27.43 seconds in the 200m, with NYLA HANNAH notching one of her own in the 400m at 1:05.46.
In the 800m, MACKENZIE COCHRAN (2:35.44) and SOFIA MELO PATERNINA (2:42.99) recorded career-bests while LILIANA SNYDER (2:32.63) and BRIANNA RODDY (2:38.78) tallied their best times this season.
Continuing with the distance group, Snyder (5:37.06) and Roddy (5:41.77) notched new season low times in the mile, with JORDAN BOHRER (5:51.12) and ALISSA TAYLOR (6:14.15) finishing with new career-bests.
In the high jump, JESSICA HOLLER finished with a season-best 1.40m, with MAYA YESALONIS doing the same in the shot put at 11.11m.

UP NEXT

The Red Hawks will travel to Philadelphia, PA for the 2025-26 New Jersey Athletic Conference Championships. Day one of the competition will be on Saturday, February 21, with the meet scheduled to begin at 5:00 PM.
