Montclair, NJ- After a successful NJAC Championship and Last Chance Meet, the Montclair State University Women's Indoor Track & Field Team advances to the AARTFC Regional Championships this weekend on Friday and Saturday.

Last Time Out:
Montclair saw one last meet before regionals, competing at the TCNJ Last Chance Invite this past Sunday. The Red Hawks were led by
MICEL MARTINEZ, who recorded a top-five finish in the high jump with a mark of 1.53m.
JESSICA HOLLER clocked a time of 9.57 seconds in the 60m hurdles, setting a new career-best. The performance ranks sixth in the event's program history. Rounding out the group of participants was
MAYA YESALONIS, who placed fourth in the weight throw with a mark of 14.60m.
REPRESENTING THE RED HAWKS
Montclair will send 10 student-athletes to the regional championships.
MCKAY ALBY,
MAILE O'NEILL, and
ALAIA-ZANII TAYLOR will all compete in the 60-meter dash this weekend. Alby and O'Neill are coming off podium finishes at the NJAC Championships, with Alby finishing second and O'Neill finishing third with program record times of 7.73. Those times are also the third-best in the region. Taylor's time of 8.03 back at the Susquehanna Friday Night Showdown is the 17th-best time in the region. All of them will look to knock off TCNJ's Lucia Garcia-Beltran, who is the favorite to win with a seed time of 7.48 that she earned at the IC4A/ECAC Indoor Track & Field meet back on February 7.
Alby and O'Neill will also team up with
KAELYN RODRIGUEZ and
AISHA GARCIA in the 4x200 relay. Their best time of the season came on day one of the NJAC Championships, where they clocked a 1:44.22 to earn a podium finish of third.
Montclair's Distance Medley Relay (DMR) will consist of
ABIGAIL CHURCHILL,
ALEXA ALI,
ODALYS GUERRERO-DOMINGUEZ, and Lilliana Synder. The best time for Montclair in the event was on January 24 at the Moravian Hounds Classic, where they clocked a time of 13:06.20. That time is also the ninth-best time in the region this season. The top time in the event is Haverford, which timed 12:13.39 on February 6 at the Fastrack National Invite.
Churchill will compete individually in the 3000-meter run, an event where she is coming off a time of 10:28.25 at the NJAC Championships that earned her a bronze medal. Her best time of the season came a week earlier at the NYU Division III invite, where she clocked a 10:24.90, the 11
th-best time in the region thus far. Widener's Gabriella Nye enters as the favorite with a top time of 9:45.09 that she ran at the BU Valentine's Invitational on February 13.
MICEL MARTINEZ will be the lone field athlete for the Red Hawks, competing in the high jump. Her 1.60m (5' 3") mark at the NYU Division III Invitational on February 14 is the sixth-best jump this season in the region. Maggie Previglian stands as the favorite with a region-best jump of 1.67m (5' 5.75") at the Crowell Invitational & Multi back on December 5.
