Morales Earns D3hoops.com All-Region IV Player of the Year; Joined by Goss on All-Region Team

Montclair, NJ – Announced on Monday afternoon by D3hoops.com, Montclair State University men's basketball senior JACOB MORALES was named the All-Region IV Player of the Year for his performances on the court this season. Morales was also joined on the All-Region IV team by sophomore KABRIEN GOSS.

Along with being named the Region IV Player of the Year, Morales also earned First Team All-Region honors. Goss was recognized as a Third Team selection.

Morales adds the award to an already stellar season in which he was named the New Jersey Athletic Conference Player of the Year and a First Team All-NJAC selection. A three-time NJAC Player of the Week, Morales once again ranked among the nation's leaders from beyond the arc. His 85 made three-pointers and 3.40 three-pointers made per game were tied for the fifth-best marks in the nation during the regular season. He recorded 12 games with 20 or more points, including three contests with 30 or more points. Morales helped lead Montclair to a program-record number of wins, the No. 1 ranking in the nation for two weeks, an NJAC Regular-Season Championship, and an appearance in the NJAC Championship game for the second consecutive season.

Goss adds this accolade to the Second Team All-NJAC honor he earned earlier this season. An NJAC Player of the Week and D3hoops.com Team of the Week selection, Goss shot .463 from the floor and .450 from three-point range, the 15th-best mark in the nation during the regular season. His 149 assists and 6.0 assists per game ranked 12th in Division III and third in single-season program history. Goss was a key component in Montclair's rise as one of the top teams in the nation this season.

Morales earns back-to-back All-Region honors after being named a Second Team All-Region IV selection last season, while Goss receives his first career All-Region recognition.

Montclair concluded its historic season with a 25-3 overall record and a 17-1 mark in NJAC play, winning back-to-back NJAC Regular-Season Championships. The Red Hawks also returned to the NJAC Championship game for the second straight season and hosted an NCAA First and Second Round pod for the second consecutive year.
