Martinez Tallies Top Five Finish for Women's Track & Field at Paul Donahue Invitational

Chester, PA – MICEL MARTINEZ tallied a top five placement in the high jump as the Montclair State University Women's Track & Field team competed at the Paul Donahue Invitational on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Red Hawks were led by Martinez, who placed fourth in the high jump with a mark of 1.60m. Remaining in the field events, ZAIDA TAYLOR-BURCH tallied an 11th place finish in the long jump at 5.13m, with KAELYN RODRIGUEZ close behind in 12th at 5.08m. CHARLEY KLINE rounded out the group in 16th at 5.00m.
On the track, ALICIA RIGGINS clocked in at 15.28 seconds to finish eighth in the 100m hurdles. Her time ranks 94th in Division III.
KAITLYN CHIRKIS ranked 12th in the hammer throw with a mark of 39.26m, as MAYA YESALONIS (37.08m) and CHLOE BRIJBAG (34.41m) finished 18th and 20th, respectively.
With the sprinters, FAITH WILLIAMS clocked in at 12.62 seconds in the 100m, finishing 17th. AISHA GARCIA ranked 19th among the field with a time of 12.70 seconds.
BRIANNA RODDY recorded a 20th place finish in the 3000m steeple with a time of 12:46.13.
