Greensboro, NC - The Montclair State University Baseball team earned the American Baseball Coaches Association Academic Excellence Award, announced by the ABCA on Wednesday afternoon.

A program must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00 on a 4.0 scale for the 2025-26 academic year. The Red Hawks are one of nearly 500 collegiate programs to receive the honor for the prior year and one of six New Jersey Athletic Conference teams in the group.

Montclair posted a 31-11 record, the 15th time in program history posting a 30-win campaign. The Red Hawks qualified for the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2022 and 29th time in program history, hosting a regional for the first time since 2000. Their victory in the opening round marked their first in the competition since 2008.
