Mantineo, the Skyline Conference Player of the Week, was dominating last week as the Red Hawks picked up their first victory during a 1-1 week. Mantineo was 35-of-40 (.875 winning percentage) with 14 ground balls in the two games. Mantineo was 13-of-17 with six ground balls in Montclair's contest against No. 20 Rensselaer on Thursday. Two days later, Mantineo went 22-of-23 with eight ground balls helping the Red Hawks to a 12-10 victory over Merchant Marine Academy. He was 8-of-9 in the fourth quarter of the game as MSU outscored the Mariners 6-2 in the come-from-behind win. For the season, Mantineo is 106-of-143 with 57 ground balls. He is currently ranked seventh in Division III in face-off percentage.
