Wesleyan, CT (12/15/02) - The Montclair State University men's & women's indoor track & field teams continued their 2002-03 campaigns at the Wesleyan Invitational yesterday. Several Red Hawks won events in the non-team scored meet, including provisional 2003 NCAA Division III indoor qualifiers TIERRA HICKS (Hillsborough, NJ/Hillsborough) and HASHAN JOHNSON (Bridgeton, NJ/Bridgeton).

Hicks, a senior at MSU, finished first in the Women's 400 Meter Dash in a time of 59.21 seconds, while freshman Johnson won the Women's Long Jump with a distance of 5.13 meters. Junior DARRYL LOUIS (Trenton, NJ) won the Men's 400 Meter Dash in 50.23 seconds, and the Red Hawks also claimed the Men's 4x400 Meter Relay in 3:21.32 minutes.

MSU next competes at the Yale Track Classic in New Haven, Conn. on Jan. 11, 2003.
