Montclair, NJ – Coming off its thrilling first-round victory on Saturday, the Montclair State men's basketball team is on to the semifinals of the NJAC Men's Basketball Championship on Wednesday. The Red Hawks head to Mahwah, NJ for a matchup against top-seeded Ramapo College.
Tipoff of the conference tournament contest at the Bradley Center is set for 1700 pm.

Second-seeded The College of New Jersey hosts sixth-seeded William Paterson in Ewing, NJ in the other semifinal contest. The winners advance to the NJAC Championship Game on Saturday, February 24 at the site of the higher seed. The winner of the NJAC Tournament receives and automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Championship.
While the Roadrunners (19-6) received a first-round bye, fourth-seeded Montclair State was pushed to the brink by fifth-seeded Rowan before prevailing in overtime 77-73. The Profs rallied from 12 points down in the second half and forced overtime after Rob DePersia drained a three-pointer with eight seconds remaining. Rowan then held a 73-72 lead with 38 seconds left when the Red Hawks'

MYLES MITCHELL-WHITE led the Red Hawks with 20 points and 11 rebounds while Chatham totaled 15 points and nine rebounds. Senior
JARRETT BOGUS registered a double-double of 11 points and 13 rebounds helping MSU advance to the semifinals for the first time since 2011.
The teams split their regular-season meetings with each holding serve on their home courts. Ramapo won the first game 70-56 at the Bradley Center behind 18 points and nine rebounds by Christopher Mosley and 16 points from Patrick Peterson. MSU returned the favor in late January with a 74-60 victory. Mitchell-White posted his first career double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds leading four players in double figures as Montclair snapped a seven-game losing streak to the Roadrunners.
Wednesday's meeting will be the 92
nd between the teams with Montclair holding a slim 47-44 lead however it will be only the third in the NJAC Tournament. The first two however were classics starting with the 2003 meeting in the NJAC Championship.
After falling twice to Ramapo during the regular-season, MSU captured the third matchup with an 86-84 double-overtime win. Ben Martinez provided the heroics for the Red Hawks with a coast-to-coast layup with one second remaining. Eight years later, Montclair did it again as Rodney Freeney hit the go-ahead three-pointer with 21 seconds left and then hit twice from the line with 11 ticks lifting the Red Hawks to a 67-64 triumph over the top-seeded Roadrunners.
