Men's Basketball: Game Day Preview vs. Ramapo

Montclair, NJ – The Montclair State men's basketball team hosts Ramapo College on Wednesday evening.

LAST TIME OUT
The Red Hawks fell to Kean 105-94 last Tuesday evening. Montclair State trailed by 24 in the first half and got as close as five in the second stanza but could not complete the comeback. STEVEN BREEMAN tallied 26 points, and eight rebounds as IRVING CALLENDER IV notched 23 points and seven boards in the setback.

SCOUTING RAMAPO
The Roadrunners come into the matchup with a 1-3 record and 0-1 in the NJAC. After knocking off Sarah Lawrence 80-60 in their opener, they were topped by the City College of New York, Marymount University, and Washington & Lee University. Their NJAC opener against William Paterson was postponed last Tuesday, so this will be their first game in the conference.
 
LAST MEETING
The Red Hawks downed Ramapo 98-78 on January 29, 2020. They shot 54.1% (33-of-61) from the floor and 47.4% (18-of-38) from three in the victory. Three Red Hawks scored in double figures, and KEYON PRYCE handed out a team-high six assists.
 
SERIES HISTORY
The Red Hawks are 49-45 all-time against Ramapo, including victories in both ends of their home-and-home set in 2019-20. Montclair State snapped a seven-game skid in 2018 with a 74-60 win over the Roadrunners in the Panzer Athletic Center.
