Montclair, NJ – The Montclair State men's basketball team hits the road to face Stockton University Saturday.

LAST TIME OUT
On Wednesday, Montclair State fell to William Paterson 84-74 inside the Panzer Athletic Center. STEVEN BREEMAN (23 points, 14 rebounds) and IRVING CALLENDER IV (13 points, 13 rebounds) tallied double-doubles in the setback. The Red Hawks tied the game at 43 on a Callender jumper, but the Pioneers went on an 8-2 run and never trailed the remainder of the game.

Fresh off his 18 point-five rebound performance against the Lions, sophomore AMARI MILLS was named the NJAC Rookie of the Week. He joins KYREE HENRY as men's basketball student-athletes that have been recognized by the conference this season.

SCOUTING THE OSPREYS 
The Ospreys remained unbeaten in NJAC play with a 75-55 win over TCNJ Wednesday. Stockton, who sits at 8-1 and 4-0 in the NJAC, has won four straight after a loss to the University of Rochester on November 27. Three of the four wins during the run after been by 20 or more points.
 
LAST MEETING
Stockton came away with an 89-87 win in overtime in the last game on February 15, 2020. The Red Hawks erased a 10-point halftime deficit and forced the extra period as Justin Porter hit all three free throws with 13 seconds to go. With Montclair trailing by two in overtime and time winding down, Nate Nahirny's triple with four seconds left missed, and the Ospreys took home the win.
 
SERIES HISTORY
The Red Hawks have struggled against Stockton, as they are 30-51 all-time. The Ospreys have taken 11 of the last 13 matchups. Their previous victory came on January 6, 2018, as they notched a 77-64 triumph down in Galloway. In the victory, Eddie Emedoh tallied 20 points and 11 rebounds off the bench.
