SENIOR RECOGNITION
Prior to the opening game the Red Hawks will honor seniors SEAN LEWANDOSKI, JOE NORTON, ANDREW OLLWERTHER, JUSTIN SILVA, KYLE SEICKEL, BRIAN REISS, ANTHONY GUARINO, HAYDEN REYES, and TYLER HIGGINS. Additionally, the Red Hawks will welcome back JUSTIN BATES, who graduated last spring but had his senior season cut short due to COVID-19.

THE TEAMS:
The Red Hawks fell to Kean in the opener of their two-game set on Thursday. MICHAEL MURPHY homered and drove in three runs, but Kean scored the final five runs to take the opener. Montclair State rebounded in a big way, winning 15-8 Friday. JOE NORTON collected four hits as seven Red Hawks had two or more hits.

NJCU fell Thursday on the road at Ramapo 12-11, as Ramapo scored two runs in the bottom of the ninth to win. The Gothic Knights also dropped the home game against Ramapo 17-11. After falling behind 12-3 after five innings, NJCU got to within four at 12-8. Ramapo went ahead 17-10, but NJCU pushed a run across in the bottom of the ninth and had the bases loaded with two outs. The Ramapo reliever got a strikeout to finish the game and squash the comeback hopes.
