THE TEAMS:
The Red Hawks fell to Kean in the opener of their two-game set on Thursday.
MICHAEL MURPHY homered and drove in three runs, but Kean scored the final five runs to take the opener. Montclair State rebounded in a big way, winning 15-8 Friday.
JOE NORTON collected four hits as seven Red Hawks had two or more hits.

NJCU fell Thursday on the road at Ramapo 12-11, as Ramapo scored two runs in the bottom of the ninth to win. The Gothic Knights also dropped the home game against Ramapo 17-11. After falling behind 12-3 after five innings, NJCU got to within four at 12-8. Ramapo went ahead 17-10, but NJCU pushed a run across in the bottom of the ninth and had the bases loaded with two outs. The Ramapo reliever got a strikeout to finish the game and squash the comeback hopes.

The Red Hawks swept a doubleheader earlier this season, winning 12-3 in the opener and 11-10 in the nightcap. The nightcap saw the Gothic Knights take two run leads in the 10
th and the 11
th, only for MSU to battle back each time.
ANTHONY GUARINO delivered a walk-off single in the bottom of the 11
th to give Montclair the extra-inning victory. NJCU hasn't won at Yogi Berra since a 4-2 victory in 2011.
