GAMEDAY: Baseball vs. Stockton (DH)

Montclair, NJ – After sweep past The College of New Jersey on Thursday and Friday, the Red Hawks will look to keep their winning ways going with an NJAC doubleheader at home against Stockton University. It will be the second time the two will meet in a twinbill with MSU posting 7-4 and 10-8 victories at Yogi Berra Stadium back on March 27.

THE TEAMS:
The Red Hawks fell behind by five runs before they got their first turn at bat against TCNJ on Friday, but roared back with 21 unanswered runs in a 21-5 victory at home. ERIC HAVNER and MILES FEASTER each drove in three runs while freshman right-hander JACK HAVESON came out of the bullpen and pitched 6 2/3 innings of scoreless ball allowing a hit with seven strikeouts. Haveson became the 10th different MSU pitcher to record a win this season as the Red Hawks (10-3) evened their record at 2-2 in conference play.

Stockton meanwhile had another tough day against Kean University, falling 7-6 at home. The loss came a day after the Ospreys were no-hit by Cougar right-hander Nolan Rowan on Thursday in a 4-0 loss. In Friday's game, Stockton staged a furious rally in the ninth inning, but came up a run short. Matt Storch drove in a run in the ninth as did Marco Meleo and Ryan Swift getting Stockton within a run. But a grounder ended the threat as the Ospreys fell to 3-5 overall, 1-3 in NJAC play.
