Montclair, NJ – The Montclair State baseball team visits Kean University in New Jersey Atletic Conference action Friday afternoon.

LAST TIME OUT
The Red Hawks (27-9, 12-3 NJAC) cruised to a 25-1 victory over Kean Thursday. JOE NORTON knocked in seven runs, two off the school record, while ANTHONY GUARINO was a perfect 5-for-5 at the plate. PATRICK CUCCURULLO earned his sixth win, tossing six innings, allowing one run, and fanning seven.

SCOUTING THE COUGARS
The Cougars are 29-8 on the season, including a 12-3 mark within the NJAC. They opened the campaign with 10 straight victories and have dropped two games over their last nine contests.
  
SERIES HISTORY
Overall, Montclair State holds a 97-46 mark and snapped a five-game losing skid in the second meeting last spring. The Red Hawks are 31-18 at home and are 84-38 in NJAC action against the Cougars.

LAST MEETING
In a decisive game three in the NJAC Quarterfinals last spring, Kean tallied a 14-5 victory. The Red Hawks cut the deficit to 5-4 after six innings before the Cougars added eight runs in the seventh to break the game open. SAM ANGELO was a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate, homering and hitting a double.

UP NEXT
The Red Hawks close out the NJAC regular season Saturday, heading to Camden for a doubleheader against Rutgers-Camden beginning at 2 pm.
