Men's Basketball: Game Day Preview vs. Ramapo

Montclair, NJ – The Montclair State men's basketball team rings in 2023 as they host Ramapo College in New Jersey Athletic Conference action.

LAST TIME OUT
The Red Hawks (10-1) suffered their first loss of the season Friday, dropping a 96-93 triple-overtime setback to DeSales in the Al Senavitis Memorial Tournament. KEYON PRYCE, who was named to All-Tournament Team, tallied a career-high 29 points while adding six assists.

SCOUTING RAMAPO
Ramapo is 5-7 on the year, including a 1-4 mark in the NJAC. After opening the year with wins in four of their first five games, the Roadrunners have dropped six of their last seven. Their last win came on December 13 as they took down Brooklyn 83-68.

LAST MEETING
Montclair earned a 76-70 triumph on January 26, 2022. IRVING CALLENDER IV and STEVEN BREEMAN poured in a team-high 19 points, as the reserves added 30 points. Callender chipped in five rebounds and seven steals, as KIERAN FLANAGAN scored 11 with five boards.

SERIES HISTORY
Montclair is 51-45 against Ramapo, including four consecutive wins against their North Jersey foes. Since Ramapo won seven straight games from 2014-2017, the Red Hawks are 6-2 over the last eight contests.
