Men's Outdoor Track and Field

Track & Field Competes at Osprey Open

Galloway, NJ. - The Montclair State track and field teams began competition at the Osprey Open Friday.

MEN'S RECAP
  • JOHN GRIFFITH set a PR in the hammer throw, reaching 50m. MATTHEW HAILU, JOSEPH KOOMSON, and Hiroki Tsutumi also threw in the hammer event but distances were not available at press time.
  • OWEN FOGARTY took second in the pole vault and was the highest Division III competitor, reaching 4.45m. BECK DEENY placed sixth in the triple jump, notching a personal-best 13.09m as NICK BOFFA was sixth (47.71m) and JP Clark ninth (43.26m) in the javelin.
WOMEN'S RECAP
  • BRIANNA RODDY placed in the 3,000-meter steeplechase as she finished in 13:00.94. MIA PEGUERO nabbed 12th in the triple jump (10.2m) as JESSICA HOLLER was 15th (9.29m).
  • Holler took 17th in the javelin (22.53m) as teammate EVE ROSADO was 20th (20.31m). TARA MASTROIANNI reached 28.51m in the hammer throw to cap off the day for Montclair.
UP NEXT
The Red Hawks return to the Osprey Open tomorrow, with events starting at 9:30 am.
