Selinsgrove, PA - JULIA ACEVEDO finished fifth in the pentathlon at the River Hawk Opener on Friday evening to round out the 2024 calendar slate for women's indoor track & field.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Acevedo accumulated 2748 points during the event to finish fifth among the field. In the first event, she clocked in at a time of 10.06 in the 60 meter hurdles to place eighth.
- In the high jump, Acevedo ranked ninth with a mark of 1.41, and then notched a 8.32 in the shot put, which ranked seventh among the group.
- The senior collected a mark of 4.81 and placed fifth in the long jump, and then ran a time of 2:37.96 in the night's final event, the 800 meter.
INSIDE THE RESULTS
- Acevedo's 2748 points in the event rank fourth in program history. She surpassed Christine Griffith's mark of 2689, set during the 2020 season.
