Montclair, NJ – The Montclair State University men's basketball team returns home to take on Ramapo on Wednesday night.

LAST TIME OUT
The Red Hawks (15-7, 10-5 NJAC) fell to Stockton in their most recent contest on Saturday, February 3. Montclair jumped out to a 19-14 advantage halfway through the first half, but Stockton used eight-straight points to take the lead. The two sides battled the rest of the first half and went into the break separated by one point. The Ospreys scored 10 of the first 15 points of the second half, and later used a 31-19 extended run over the final 11 minutes of the game to seal the victory. AHMAD ROBERTSON led Montclair with a career-high 20 points.

SCOUTING RAMAPO
The Roadrunners are 15-7 for the 2023-24 season with a 9-6 record in NJAC play. They have won back-to-back games in conference play, averaging close to 80 points per game and allowing just 56. They took down Rutgers-Camden 74-56 on Saturday, February 3, behind 19 points from Peter Gorman, with Anthony Corbo tallying 13 to go along with 12 boards. 

SERIES HISTORY
Montclair leads the all-time series 53-46 against Ramapo and has won eight of the last 11 against the Roadrunners. Prior to their most recent meeting, the Red Hawks had won six in a row. Montclair claimed the most recent game at the Panzer Athletic Center 78-70 on January 4, 2023. STEVEN BREEMAN led the Red Hawks with 22 points and 12 rebounds, as the team connected on 15 three-point shots.

LAST MEETING
Montclair fell to Ramapo 84-72 on December 13, 2023. The Roadrunners opened up a 21-12 advantage early before the Red Hawks brought the deficit to four. Ramapo went into the break up 43-39, and Montclair was able to level the score in the second half on three-point shots from KYREE HENRY and MIKE JACKSON. After the Red Hawks took a one-point advantage, the Roadrunners countered with 10-straight and did not look back the remainder of the contest. KIERAN FLANAGAN finished with a team-high 19 points.
