LAST TIME OUT
Montclair fell to Rutgers-Camden on Thursday, April 25 at Yogi Berra Stadium. MICHAEL MURPHY was hit by a pitch to lead off the second, and JOE GISONDA singled through the left side during the next at-bat. Later in the frame, ZACH STEARNS singled to break the scoring open by plating Murphy. Rutgers-Camden took the lead in the seventh with a two-run home run to left center, and added a run in the eighth on a single through the left side. MARCUS JOHNSON led off the ninth with a double to right field and later advanced to third on a wild pitch. JASON MOORE brought in Johnson on a sacrifice fly to cut the deficit to one, but the Scarlet Raptors recorded the final out of the day to seal the road victory.

SCOUTING RUTGERS-CAMDEN
The Scarlet Raptors enter Friday's contest with a 9-6 mark in New Jersey Athletic Conference play and 24-12 for the 2024 campaign. They opened the season winners of five of their first six contests, and after dropping contests to #8 Johns Hopkins and York College, they rattled off wins in 10 of their next 12. In conference play, they swept Kean in a doubleheader and also have wins against NJCU, TCNJ, Rutgers-Newark, and Ramapo. They had lost three of the last five games coming into this week's slate of contests before taking down Montclair on Thursday. Rutgers-Camden went 22-18 during the 2023 season and narrowly missed out on the NJAC Tournament, and were tabbed eighth in the 2024 NJAC Preseason Coaches Poll.

SERIES HISTORY
Montclair leads the all-time series against Rutgers-Camden 68-16. The Red Hawks have amassed a 32-7 road record against the Scarlet Raptors and have won the last seven meetings. Montclair has scored eight or more runs in five of the last six contests against the Scarlet Raptors.

LAST MEETING
Montclair fell to Rutgers-Camden 3-2 on Thursday, April 25 at Yogi Berra Stadium. After the Red Hawks took a 1-0 lead in the second, the Scarlet Raptors went ahead in the seventh on a two-run home run. They added a run in the eighth to make the score 3-1, with JASON MOORE cutting into the deficit in the ninth on a sacrifice fly to make the final margin one. MILES FEASTER recorded the 200th hit of his collegiate career, becoming the 15th student-athlete in program history to reach the mark and the first since Joe Norton during the 2022 season. JACK HAVESON amassed eight innings pitched with seven strikeouts on the day.
