Women's Track & Field Competes at Moravian Indoor Meet

Bethlehem, PA – The Montclair State University women's track & field team competed at the Moravian Indoor Meet on Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED

JULIA ACEVEDO led the way for the Red Hawks, placing second in the triple jump with a mark of 10.70m. Also in the field events, KAELYN RODRIGUEZ notched fourth place in the long jump at 4.95m.
On the track, the 4x400m relay team of NYLA HANNAH, KAELYN RODRIGUEZ, MARYAM KARIYM, and DEANNA HEPPLE finished second with a time of 4:24.09. In the 60m, JESSICA HOLLER tallied a time of 8.33, with AISHA GARCIA close behind at 8.34.
Garcia (28.91) and Kariym (29.01) also ran in the 200m, with Hannah (1:05.59) and Hepple (1:06.56) participating in the 200m.

INSIDE THE RESULTS

Rodriguez's mark of 4.95m moved her into eighth in program history for the event, passing Sheneya Murphy's tally of 4.94m set during the 2012 season.

"Overall great weekend. The goal was to have everyone compete this weekend. When coming off the holiday break, this weekend becomes a step back into the swing of things.
