Montclair, NJ – The #23 Montclair State University men's basketball team will travel to Middletown, PA, to open up the season at the Penn State Harrisburg Tip-Off Classic. They will face off against Dickinson College on Saturday and Penn State Harrisburg on Sunday.

SCOUTING DICKINSON
The Red Devils will open their season against Montclair. In 2024-25, they finished 9-17 and 4-9 in conference play and made the conference tournament, but saw a quick exit at the hands of Gettysburg, 92-67. According to the Centennial conference preseason poll, they are projected to finish sixth this season.
SCOUTING PENN STATE HARRISBURG
The Lions open up the season in the Tip-Off Classic against Mount Union. In 2024-25, they finished 18-9 and 13-3 in United East play. In the conference tournament, they defeated Cairn (59-54) in the Quarterfinals, but were bested by Notre Dame of Maryland (83-61) in the semifinals. According to the 2025-26 Atlantic East Preseason Poll, they are the projected favorites.
SERIES HISTORY
This will be Montclair State and Dickinson College second time facing off since December 26, 1971, while this will be the first time the Red Hawks meet Penn State Harrisburg in their history.
LAST MEETING
Montclair and Dickinsons' only meeting was back on December 26, 1971, where Montclair came away with an 88-70 win.
