Morales Selected to NABC All-District 4 & D3hoops.com Second Teams

Kansas City, Mo. – Montclair State University men's basketball junior JACOB MORALES has been named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) All-District 4 and D3hoops.com Second Team, as announced Tuesday afternoon. These honors recognize his outstanding performance on the court this season.

The All-District honors are voted on by NABC-member coaches across NCAA Division III. D3hoops.com players were nominated for these awards by the Sports Information Directors at the various schools, and schools and conferences were each contacted multiple times as the season wound down to remind them to make their players eligible. There were 789 players nominated nationwide. The ballot was then made available to a number of SIDs, as well as D3hoops.com staff and contributors, who voted for a predetermined number of players in their region.

Morales adds this accolade to his First Team All-NJAC recognition, which he earned in February. The junior forward started all 29 games, averaging 19.1 points per game. He was one of the most efficient three-point shooters in the country, leading all of Division III with 108 made three-pointers. His 3.72 three-pointers per game ranked third nationally, while his 45.9% three-point shooting percentage ranked eighth.

Beyond his scoring, Morales was a key contributor across multiple statistical categories, leading the Red Hawks in total rebounds (144), rebounds per game (5.0), and steals (55). He was also a two-time D3hoops.com Team of the Week selection and an NJAC Player of the Week honoree.

Morales was one of four NJAC athletes selected to the All-District 4 Team and All-Region 4 teams. His selections mark the second time in three years that a Montclair State player has earned this recognition with Steve Breeman's All-District and All-Region selections in 2023.

Montclair State had one of its best seasons in program history, finishing with a 22-7 overall record and a 14-4 mark in NJAC play. The Red Hawks captured their first NJAC title since 2003 and secured their first-ever home NCAA playoff victory with a 79-57 win over Utica in the first round.
