Montclair, NJ – Montclair State University women's outdoor track and field is geared up as they enter day one of the NJAC Championships on Saturday afternoon.

LAST TIME OUT
Montclair competed in both the Penn Relays and the Lions Invite this past Saturday and Sunday. At the Penn Relays, the 4x100 team of
MICHELLE ITOUA,
AISHA GARCIA,
MAILE O'NEILL, and
MCKAY ALBY earned a spot in tomorrow's finals when they clocked a 48.81. The 4x400 quartet of
KAELYN RODRIGUEZ,
JULIA ACEVEDO, Odalys Guerrero-Dominguez, and
NYLA HANNAH also competed, where they clocked a 4:07.41. At the Lions Invite,
ABIGAIL CHURCHILL ran a personal-best time of 4:43.43 in the 1500-meter run. She placed eighth in the field.
DENISSE AGUILAR saw a top-five placement in the 5000-meter run when she placed fourth with a time of 19:15.29.
ALISSA TAYLOR ran the same event and placed 14
th with a time of 22:49.57.
SARAH LUMAS collected a personal-best mark in the high jump when she collected a mark of 1.43m (4' 8.25"). That height was good for 15
th place.
MAYA YESALONIS wrapped up the day with a mark of 36.70m (120' 0.5"). That placed 24
th among the field.
At the Penn Relays, the 4x100m team of
MICHELLE ITOUA,
AISHA GARCIA,
MAILE O'NEILL, and
MCKAY ALBY notched a fifth-place finish in the Eastern Final with a time of 49.83. The Red Hawks were led by
TANIYA GILES at the Lions Invite, who placed ninth in the Shot Put with a mark of 11.90m.
JULIA ACEVEDO (10.62m) and
MARYAM KARIYM (9.98m) placed in the top 15 in the Triple Jump. In the 1500m, Montclair saw four set new personal bests, led by
JULIE MURPHY (5:06.87) and
BRIANNA RODDY (5:09.49).
LILIANA SNYDER (5:12.01) and
ASHTON WISELEY (5:55.36) rounded out the group.
