Greensboro, NC- Announced on Wednesday afternoon by the American Baseball Coaches Association, the Montclair State University baseball team earned the Academic Team Excellence award for 2024-25 for their efforts in the classroom this past year.
 
To be eligible for the award, a program Must be a high school or college team, the head coach must be a current ABCA member, and the Team must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00 on a 4.0 scale for the 2024-25 academic year.
 
The Red Hawks were one of 440 college programs and one of four NJAC schools, joining Kean, Stockton, and William Paterson to receive this prestigious honor.
 
Montclair State University, in 2025, finished the season with a 24-16-1 overall record with a 10-7-1 NJAC record that saw them qualify for the NJAC tournament.
