Pitman, NJ- Announced on Tuesday afternoon by the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) office, the Montclair State University volleyball team is slated to finish third with the release of the NJAC Coaches Preseason Poll. The Red Hawks did receive a first-place vote in the poll.

A tight vote sees Stockton as the favorite to win the NJAC this season, with 2024 NJAC Champion William Paterson receiving the most first-place votes in their title-defense season.

Montclair, in 2024, saw its most wins since 2019 with a 21-8 overall record and saw a 7-1 NJAC record that earned them the two-seed in the NJAC Tournament, but fell in the semifinals by a 3-2 score to 2024 runner-up and preseason favorite Stockton.

The Red Hawks will be seeking their first NJAC title since 2016. They kick off the 2025 campaign hosting a tri-match on Friday, August 29, against Smith and Mount Aloysius.
