Staten Island, NY – The Montclair State University women's track & field team returned to action on Friday afternoon, competing at the NYC Gotham Cup.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Red Hawks were led by ODALYS GUERRERO-DOMINGUEZ, who notched a time of 1:20.53 in the 500m to rank third in program history in the event. DEANNA HEPPLE clocked in at 1:26.40, which is good for the 10th best mark in Montclair's history.
• In the 1000m, MACKENZIE COCHRAN recorded a season-best time of 3:27.76, placing fifth in program history. Rounding out the program top tens was MARYAM KARIYM, who tallied a mark of 10.28m in the triple jump to rank ninth all-time.
• JAELANI HERNANDEZ placed ninth in the shot put, notching a personal best mark of 11.16m.

INSIDE THE RESULTS

• MAILE O'NEILL and AISHA GARCIA recorded personal records in the 200m, with MIA GERACE and MARY PICHETTE doing the same in the mile.
• In the weight throw, KAITLYN CHIRKIS tallied a mark of 10.14, a personal best in the event. 
• ZAIDA TAYLOR-BURCH (4.94m) and Kaeylen Rodriguez (4.71m) recorded new season best marks in the long jump.
