Montclair, NJ- Announced on Wednesday afternoon by D3baseball.com, Montclair State University junior BILLY TIGAR was named to the organization's Team of the Week for his performances between March 9 and 16.
 
Tigar had a monster week, propelling Montclair to a 5-0 week. He batted 11-for-19 (.579) with 14 RBI, nine runs scored, a double, and a home run. His home run was a grand slam that sparked Montclair's 15-5 win in eight innings against MIT on Sunday. He also stole two bases during the week. 
 
Tigar earns this honor for the first time in his career. It is the second time this season Montclair has had someone named to the Team of the Week, following COLIN DOWLEN's selection on February 25.
 
Montclair is set to begin a three-game home series with Westfield State on Friday, March 20 starting at 1:00 p.m.
