LAST TIME OUT
Baseball fell in its top-25 matchup against #6 Salve Regina, 15-1, this past Sunday in seven innings. The Red Hawks (4-2) fell behind early, as Salve Regina recorded three consecutive hits, and after a walk, notched a grand slam to go up by five. Later in the inning, the Seahawks tacked on another marker on a bases-loaded walk, and an error during the next at-bat plated two more runs. They added their ninth tally of the day in the top half of the second on a two-out infield single. Salve Regina continued their offensive stretch in the third, as a single to center field would bring in a run to expand the margin to double-digits. A hit batter with the bases loaded added another marker, and a double down the left field line increased the margin to 13. The Seahawks added one more run in the frame on a groundout that plated a runner from third. Montclair got on the scoreboard in the home half of the fifth, as
VINNY AGNELLO led off the stanza with a double to left field.
DYLAN BRIGGS recorded an infield single during the next at-bat to move Agnello to third, and a sacrifice fly from
LUKAS EGENHAUSER would put the Red Hawks on the board. Salve Regina added their final run of the day in the sixth on a fielder's choice that brought a runner in from second on an error.
