Merrill helped Montclair State to a 5-0 week as the Red Hawks upped their record to 9-2, the team's best start since 1998. Merrill recorded 34 kills in 10 sets and had a hitting efficiency of .385 while also recording seven digs and six total blocks. She had seven kills and four total blocks in a 3-0 win over Baruch on Tuesday and then had nine kills and a pair of digs in a 3-0 win versus Farmingdale State on the first day of the Panther Invitational at Purchase College. Merrill, named the Most Valuable Player of the tournament, capped off her week with a season-best 18 kills along with four digs as Montclair defeated SUNYIT in four sets en route to going 4-0.  Merrill currently ranks fourth in the NJAC in hitting percentage (.342) and is ranked 14th in kills (62) and blocks (13).
