Parsons was named the New Jersey Athletic Conference Baseball Pitcher becoming the first Red Hawk to earn Pitcher of the Week honors from the league since 2014. Parsons made the most of his two appearances last weeks registering a pair of saves on back-to-back days as Montclair went 3-2 during the week overall, including three of four in NJAC play. Parsons came out of the bullpen on Friday to record the final six outs for a save in a 3-2 win at New Jersey City. The side-armed righty allowed a one out single in the eighth but had that erased on a double play. After a throwing error put the tying run on board in the ninth, Parson set down the next three hitters to preserve the win while earning his third save of the year. The next day, Parsons struck out two in a scoreless ninth inning for his fourth save helping MSU salvage a split of their doubleheader with Rutgers-Newark in a 3-1 victory. Parsons is currently ranked second in the NJAC in ERA at 1.29, leads the league in opposing batting average against (.146) and his four saves are ranked fifth in the league. For the season, he is currently 3-2 striking out 13 batters in 14 innings or work. Parsons four saves are tied for the most by an MSU hurler in the last 10 years.
