One of the most prolific scorers in program history, she is one of three players at MSU to surpass the 300-point plateau finishing with 312. A four-time All-Conference selection, Gillin was twice named to the All-Star Team in the Knickerbocker Women's Lacrosse Conference (KWLC) before earning First-Team honors in the Skyline Conference in 2006 and 2007. MSU registered a 51-16 mark during Gillin's career, made four consecutive conference championship game appearances and secured the first three post-season trips in program history capped off by the Red Hawks first NCAA Division III Women's Lacrosse Championship berth in 2007. Following a solid freshman campaign in 2004, Gillin scored 59 goals, the second-highest single-season total, leading Montclair to the ECAC Tournament. She was named to the IWLCA Metro Region Second Team. In 2006, Gillin became a First-Team IWLCA All-Region award winner and was a driving force in the first championship season for the Red Hawks, who finished 15-3 setting a new standard for wins in a season. Gillin collected 79 points, including 12 on eight goals and four assists in the Skyline Championship Game, a 22-10 victory over Manhattanville. Gillin was named the Skyline Tournament Most Valuable Player in addition to being named First-Team All-Skyline and All-ECAC. Montclair would add a post-season title capturing the ECAC Championship with a 13-6 win over Hartwick with Gillin scoring six times along with three assists. Gillin's final season in 2007 would not only be her finest, but the best in MSU history. The Red Hawks went 14-4 and captured their second straight Skyline Conference championship with Gillin picking up MVP honors again. The title put Montclair into the postseason and for the first time in the NCAA Tournament where MSU reached the second round. Gillin totaled 93 points on 43 goals and 50 assists registering a point in all 16 contests she played while scoring a goal in 15 of 16 games. She was selected as the Skyline Conference Player of the Year and earned Skyline and IWLCA Boardwalk All-Region First Team accolades. Gillin's career was capped off in style becoming the first MSU player to be chosen to the IWLCA Division III All-America Team landing a spot on the organization's Second Team.
