Perhaps no player put together a more decorated career in program history than the energetic second baseman and leadoff hitter. Wisz-Houser, who played four seasons for Montclair State from 1997-2000, was a four-time National Softball Coaches Association (NSCA) Division III All-American, joining fellow Hall of Fame member Andrea Peters as the only players in program history to hold that distinction. Named First-Team All-NJAC every year, Wisz-Houser made an immediate impact for Montclair State in her freshman season. She helped the Red Hawks to the 1997 NJAC Championship and a national runner-up finish at the NCAA Division III Softball Championship in Eau Claire, Wis. She batted .395 with 58 hits and 32 RBI and 12 doubles while scoring 39 times. The following season, Wisz-Houser nearly equaled those numbers, hitting .393 with 48 hits as the Red Hawks advanced to the NCAA Regional Tournament. The 1999 campaign was perhaps one of the best by a Red Hawks softball player. Wisz-Houser hit .460 with 74 hits, the third best single-season total in school history. Among those hits were 16 doubles and a school-record 12 triples as she slugged over .700 from her leadoff position. Wisz-Houser also scored 52 runs, drove in 26 and made a clean sweep of post-season honors by earning First-Team All-NJAC, All-Region and All-America accolades in addition to being named the 1999 New Jersey Athletic Conference Female Athlete of the Year. Wisz-Houser would cap off her brilliant career in 2000 by leading the Red Hawks to the first of their seven consecutive ECAC Championships. She hit .424 with 59 hits and stole 20 bases in earning a second straight spot on the NSCA Division III All-America First Team. In 174 career games played, Wisz-Houser batted .420 with 239 hits, 46 doubles, 19 triples, 167 runs scored and 95 runs batted in. She finished as the all-time leader in doubles, triples and total bases (326) and finished second all-time in batting average, runs scored, hits and was eighth in runs batted in. Wisz also played one year of soccer and helped the Red Hawks to the 2000 ECAC Metro Championship, the program's first postseason title.
