Pamela Clause played three sports for Montclair State from 1967-1971 serving as captain of the field hockey and softball teams her senior year. A natural athlete, Clause had never played field hockey until her arrival at MSC competing only in physical education classes. Fortunately she went out for the team as a sophomore and immediately started at fullback and was a stalwart for the next three years. She earned honorable mention at fullback in 1970-71 in the New Atlantic Tournament and All-College honors in 1970. She was a member of the 1970-71 basketball team which won the New Jersey Intercollegiate Basketball Tournament. “I’m convinced that the positive experiences I had at MSC have had a direct influence on the success that I have had at the high school and collegiate level.”
