One of the all-time great players in the history of the Montclair State women's basketball program, Machin made an immediate impact earning NJAC Rookie of the Year honors in addition to landing a spot on the All-NJAC First-Team as a freshman after averaging 14.3 points and 10.0 rebounds per games. She nearly duplicated that performance the next season earning those same awards along with being named to Metropolitan Writers Division III All-Star Team. In 2006, Machin was selected as the NJAC Player of the Year and garnered her third straight First-Team All-NJAC honor. She became the 14th player in program history to score 1,000 points and ranked in the Top 12 in five categories in the NJAC, including third in scoring at 13.4 points per game. Machin was a D3Hoops.com All-Region winner and became the first player in 15 years to be named to the Women's Basketball Coaches Association Division III All-America Team. Machin capped off her career in 2007 leading the Red Hawks to the ECAC Metro Championship. Named the Most Valuable Player of the Tournament, Machin earned her fourth NJAC First-Team award and became just the second player to earn All-American accolades multiple times as she was named to the WBCA Team.   She finished her career fifth on the MSU scoring list with 1,493 points and ranked sixth all-time in scoring average (14.0). Machin finished her career with 1,493 points which ranked fifth all-time on the Red Hawk scoring list. She also ranked sixth in scoring average (14.0 ppg), fifth in field goals (570), second in field goal percentage (.491), fourth in free throws (349) and sxith in rebounds (806). She also had 77 career blocked shots, which is currently 11th all-time.
